On the final day of regular-season game in girls basketball, Bellevue and Shelby both won Saturday afternoon and shared the Northern Ohio League crown.
The Lady Red had a 78-41 win against Sandusky in which Leslie Raifsnider scored 27 and Carly Santoro had 24. The Blue Streaks got 20 points from Azyah Smith-Crager.
Shelby had an 82-40 win against Willard, whose leading scorer was Ally Graham with 15 points.
Clyde beats rival Bellevue Joey Cooper hit the winner with 2 seconds left as the Fliers beat the Redmen 53-51. The teams play again Feb. 29 in the Division II sectional tournament.
Pirates, Polar Bears cruise vs. FC Perkins had a 55-30 win against St. Paul as Nic Williams went for 18, while a few miles away Margaretta went into Monroeville for a 68-46 win as Craig Galindo scored 27 points. Six players were in double figures, led by Alex Opfer's 14 points.
Western Reserve, New London nab wins The Roughriders had a 26-point lead and went for a 73-63 win against Edison, while New London's 56-41 win against St. Pete was the 11th straight win for the Wildcats.
The teams are tied for first place in the Firelands Conference.
