FOOTBALL: Caponi, Watson are first-team AllOhioans

The Sandusky Bay Conference’s Most Outstanding Performer and Bellevue’s star quarterback were named to the 2009 Associated Press Division III All-Ohio list Tuesday.
Perkins senior Nico Caponi, who was the district’s top defensive lineman, and Bellevue signal-caller Curt Watson, the district’s top offensive player, were first-team selections.
Adam Ferbeck, a senior lineman for the Pirates, was named to the Division III second-team.
Clyde senior David Weisz was a third-team offensive lineman, and Vermilion defensive back Brent Hurd earned a third-team spot.
Nine players were named to the special mention list in Division III and IV:
• Clyde’s Jordan Colson, Perkins’ Nathan Mawhirter and Kyle Finn in Division III.
• Edison’s Kyle Cory, Ryan Tiura, Kyle Matula, Josh Gebelle and Dylan Howard, and Port Clinton’s Allen Tigner in Division IV.

Nico got what he deserves. Hard worker, and a role model for alot of kids in the perkins community. Nice job everyone else, i have a couple of friends on this list.
