The Perkins boys and girls swim teams defeated Napoleon Saturday in dual-meet action. The boys won by a 107-78 margin and the girls won by a nearly identical mark, 104-78.
The boys team won all three relays (200 freestyle, 200 medley, 400 freestyle) and got seven individual first-place finishes, including two apiece from Chris Waldock, Michael Mulvin and Kevin Ebert.
Waldock won the 200 freestyle in a time of 1:49.47, besting the next swimmer by almost 10 seconds. Waldock also won the 500 freestyle in a time of 4:56.30.
Mulvin won the 200 individual medley in 2:06.09 and the 100 butterfly in 56.07, and Ebert took the 50 freestyle (23.14) and the 100 backstroke (59.01).
The other first-place finisher for Perkins was Kevin Bressler, who won the 100 breaststroke in 1:02.67.
The 200 medley relay team of Ebert, Bressler, Michael Kessler and Mulvin won in 1:45.07, the 200 freestyle relay team of Mulvin, Jonathan Harris, Kessler, Waldock took first place in 1:35.11 and Mulvin, Harris, Kessler and Waldock were victorioius in 1:35.11.
The Perkins girls got first-place finishes from Stephanie Gyurke, Rachel Mulvin, Katie Quinn and the 400 freestyle relay team, as well as seven individual second-place finishes and two more in the 200 freestyle and 200 medley relays.
Gyurke won the 200 freestyle in 1:57.87, holding off teammate Camille Cremean for the victory. Mulvin won the diving competition and Quinn won the 100 breaststroke in 1:11.51.
The 400 freestyle relay team of Emily Mariea, Cremean, Kimberly Anglin and Gyurke took first place in a time of 3:49.99.
