In what proved to be quite the test of will and strength and skill, Bellevue was joined by Clyde, Lexington, Madison, Norwalk, Oak Harbor, Port Clinton, Perkins, Shelby, Tiffin Columbian, and Willard at what many consider to be the toughest of the DII Sectional tournaments.

At the 135 wrestling fans were treated to one of the best matches of the day between Shane Justice 33- 5 and Jake Faust Lexington 33- 5 seeded first and second respectively. Justice, a skilled technician displayed prowess, agility and strength and escaped in a nanosecond too late to take second place. Ending the competition on a high note for Bellevue was a great third place match between Cody Rine, a Bellevue senior with a record of 28- 7 and Brandon Burks Lexington, a junior, record 26- 9. At the end of the second period, Burks was ahead 4-2. It looked to be a takedown by Burks when Rine pulled a beast of a move and turned Burks up on his shoulders for the pin. Bellevue ends up 5th overall with the pace set by First Place Oak Harbor, Lexington Second, Clyde Third, Perkins Fourth and Bellevue Fifth.
